Update: In compliance with the Phase Plan initiated by Bay Mills Tribal Council, Bay Mills Community College is operating with limited staff during the week of June 1-5. We will reopen June 8, 2020, for services by appointment only. All visitors and staff are expected to wear masks upon entering the building and while conducting face-to-face meetings. Thank you for your patience, and we will continue to keep everyone updated.
Bay Mills Indian Community is currently under Level 3 provisions. A copy of the Phase policy can be found here.
Summer classes will continue online only. Fall classes are still planned as scheduled for on-campus and online instruction.
I am sorry to have to postpone our graduation scheduled for May 15, 2020. This became necessary with the latest round of Governor Whitmer’s Executive orders and the continued spread of the Coronavirus. We do not want to jeopardize the health of our community, graduates, or their families by acting irresponsibly. We will plan a graduation ceremony, which you will all be invited to when the health epidemic is considered to be under control and the state has opened back up to group activities.
Those who were scheduled to graduate will receive their Diplomas, Certificates, and/or Degrees by mail, the same as if there were a graduation ceremony. This will happen as soon as all grades are final and the administrative duties can be completed. We will continue to post updates on our web site to keep you informed of our plans.
Thank you for your continued patience during this trying time, and I hope you are all well.
