At Bay Mills Community College, we know that focusing on your education is challenging when you’re worried about where your next meal is coming from. That’s why we want to remind every student about an essential resource right here on campus: the Campus Cares Cupboard.

Located in the small kitchen near the Mikanuk Commons, the Cupboard is a dedicated space with both a cupboard and a refrigerator, stocked with a variety of non-perishable and perishable food items to help you. Our goal is to provide nourishing options to keep you going.

A Free Lunch is Served!
In addition to the Cupboard, we are proud to offer free lunches to all students. These ready-to-eat meals are available to ensure you can stay energized and focused throughout your busy day of classes and studying.

Support When You Need It Most
We recognize that these are difficult times for many. With the rising cost of groceries and the uncertainty caused by the recent government shutdown affecting programs like SNAP, having consistent access to food is a real concern for countless families.

BMCC is committed to supporting our students' well-being so you can thrive both inside and outside the classroom. Removing the barrier of food insecurity is a critical part of that mission.

How to Access the Campus Cares Cupboard & Free Lunches

We've designed access to be as easy and convenient as possible:

  • Campus Cares Cupboard: The cupboard and refrigerator are available for students to access at any time while you are on campus. Simply take what you need—no student ID is required.

  • Free Lunches: Available in the cafeteria Monday-Thursday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. To receive a free lunch, please present your student ID.

Student Life Hack: Take a picture of your student ID with your phone! That way, you’ll always have a copy with you if you forget your physical ID card.
